The Dex ChatGPT app lets you manage your relationships directly through ChatGPT, no need to switch between tools. Search contacts, log conversations, set reminders, and organize your network, all through chat.

Setting Up

1. Open ChatGPT and go to Settings
2. Navigate to the Apps section and click Add More Apps
3. Search for "Dex" and select the Dex CRM entry
4. Click Connect, then authorize the connection
5. You'll be redirected back to ChatGPT with Dex connected

Once connected, tag @Dex in any ChatGPT conversation to activate the integration. If you're also using OpenAI Codex, Dex will automatically be available there too, opening up additional automation workflows.

What You Can Do

• Search & retrieve contacts: Ask ChatGPT to look up anyone in your Dex. Pull up contact details, past notes, interaction history, and follow-up reminders instantly.
• Log notes and conversations: Just describe a meeting or interaction in natural language,  ChatGPT will find the right contact in Dex and log the note automatically. No need to open the app.
• Set follow-up reminders: Tell ChatGPT when you want to follow up with someone and it'll create the reminder directly on their Dex profile.
• Organize with tags and groups: Add contacts to groups, apply tags, and keep your network structured, all through conversation.
• Bulk import contacts: Upload a spreadsheet of contacts and ask ChatGPT to add them to Dex, assign them to a group, and apply a shared note in one go. Useful after conferences, events, or any situation where you're meeting a lot of people at once.
• Prepare for meetings: Ask ChatGPT for a quick briefing on someone before a call or meeting, it'll pull their profile, recent interactions, and any notes you've saved.

Tips

• Always tag @Dex so ChatGPT knows to use the integration
• For bulk imports, attach your file and describe the action in one message,  ChatGPT will handle the rest and confirm before making changes
• The more context you give when logging a note, the richer the entry in Dex will be
