What happens to my subscription if I delete my account?
It depends on who bills you, and this is the part worth reading before you delete:
- Billed by Dex on the web. Deleting the account cancels the subscription for you, immediately and irreversibly. There is nothing further to do.
- Billed through the Apple App Store, Mac App Store or Google Play Store. Deleting the account does not cancel it, and Dex cannot cancel it for you. The store keeps charging you until you cancel it there. Do that first, or you will keep paying for an account that no longer exists.
Cancel a store subscription before you delete your account. The steps are under Subscriptions bought through an app store, on the Plans and Billing tab of this page.
On the Plans and billing page, under Settings → Account → Plans and billing, you can do the following:
- Upgrade to Premium or Professional
- Cancel your subscription
- Change term (Monthly <- Quarterly -> Annual or vice versa)
- Change Payment Method
- Check/Download Invoices
Cancel Your Subscription
Cancelling happens inside Dex. You don't need to go through Stripe to do it.
Go to Settings, then Account, then Plans and billing
Click 'Cancel subscription'
Work through the cancellation steps
Dex asks why you're leaving, and may show a one-time offer such as a discount on your next renewal or extra days on a trial. Choose Continue with cancellation to skip it.

Subscriptions bought through an app store
If you subscribed inside the Dex mobile app, the Apple App Store, Mac App Store, or Google Play Store bills you, not Dex. On the web, Plans and billing shows your plan and tells you the subscription is managed through that store. The cancel button and the payment method controls are not on that page, because Dex has no way to act on a store subscription. Support cannot cancel or refund one either.
Cancel it in the store instead. Open the Dex mobile app and go to Settings → Billing. Under Payment Method you'll see either Manage subscription in App Store or Manage subscription in Google Play Store, and that button opens your store's subscription settings. You can also get to the same place through your device's own settings.
Refunds on a store subscription are the store's to issue. Apple handles Apple purchases and Google handles Play Store purchases, and neither runs through Dex.
Change Payment Method
Under the 'Payment Method' section, click on 'Edit'

Input new card details and click on 'Save card'

Check/Download Invoices
Under the 'Invoices' section, you will see all invoices generated
Click on Download to get a PDF copy of the invoice
