WhatsApp Sync
Dex now syncs with WhatsApp on a daily basis, automatically importing relevant contacts and updating key details for a seamless experience.
Synced Information
- Contacts in 1:1 chats and groups with fewer than five people
- Phone numbers (may require merging for duplicates)
- Last message and date for 'Last Interaction' tracking

Getting Started
Go to the Sync & Integrations page and connect your WhatsApp Account
On the Sync & Integrations page, click on the 'Connect Account' button under the 'WhatsApp' section.
Scan the QR Code using the WhatsApp App on your phone.
To scan the code, open the WhatsApp app and navigate to Settings > Linked Devices.
Turning off automatic conversation notes
Separately from the sync itself, Dex can summarize your day's conversations into notes on the relevant contacts' timelines, and email you a recap of what it wrote. This covers WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Instagram messages.
One switch controls both the notes and the recap email. Go to Settings → Account → Notifications on the web and turn off Conversation summaries. WhatsApp stays connected and keeps updating last interactions. Only the notes stop.

When you connect this feature, Dex will sync all your phone call history and create a dedicated group to help you stay organized and never miss an important contact again.
