AI Assist now also leverages your calendar events and email history in addition to notes and descriptions, so message suggestions are more relevant than ever. Once a draft is generated, you can send it directly to your email client of choice, making your outreach workflow seamless.

Simply open a contact card and use the Shift+A keyboard shortcut or click the 'AI Assist' button to generate a selection of conversation starters instantly.

AI-Assist

Can AI Assist write suggestions in German or another language?

Not on its own yet. AI Assist's conversation starters and drafted emails come back in English by default. There is no language setting for them, and no per-contact language, so a suggestion for a German-, French- or Spanish-speaking contact is still written in English.

Copilot chat does follow your language: write to it in German and it answers in German. That is the way to get a draft in the language you want today — ask Copilot for the message directly in that language ("Schreib eine kurze Nachricht an …"), or paste an AI Assist suggestion into Copilot and ask it to rewrite it. The result is a draft you copy into your email client yourself, the same as any other Copilot draft.

Automatic language selection per contact, and a manual language switch for AI-generated messages, are not available today. If you'd like them, send a note to [email protected].
