# Security and Privacy at Dex

With Dex, relationships remain yours.

We understand what you put into Dex is private. These are birthdays, friends, and anniversaries.

We're committed to handling data with respect for your privacy. This is why Dex is supported by subscriptions, not anything else. We never sell your data to third parties.

## Our security practices

- Force all API transactions to use HTTPS; all data-in-transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS).
- All of our servers and databases are hosted in the US with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified providers.
- Encrypt all data at-rest at the storage level using AES256 (Advanced Encryption Standard).
- We maintain complete, regular backups of user data to prevent data loss.
