# Rechat Alternatives for Agents Who Want a Simpler CRM

_By Kevin Sun_

**Tags:** CRM, Product Reviews, Recommendations

Rechat calls itself "the AI operating system for real estate," and it covers a lot: a CRM, a marketing design studio, transaction management, websites and an AI assistant. It's built mainly for brokerages, and most agents get it because their broker picked it.

That's the first reason people look for alternatives. If you're independent, switching brokerages, or your broker doesn't provide it, you may not be able to buy it on your own terms. The second reason is scope. Plenty of agents want one or two of those jobs done well, not all of them.

A Chicago brokerage leader described what they were shopping for when evaluating platforms for their agents: something simple enough that agents wouldn't ask, "What do I need this for? What do I click here?" They wanted high adoption because the tool does what agents need and nothing else gets in the way.

If that sounds like you, here are six alternatives and who each one fits.

**Fast facts:**

- Rechat bundles CRM (People), marketing (Studio), transactions (Deals) and an AI assistant (Lucy).
- Rechat doesn't publish prices. It sells mainly to brokerages and teams through demos.
- If your broker pays for Rechat, the cheapest alternative is often using the part you need and ignoring the rest.
- Lead-focused agents usually land on Follow Up Boss. All-in-one buyers look at Wise Agent or Lofty.
- If your business is referrals and sphere, a personal CRM like Dex covers the relationship part for $12 a month.

## What Rechat does well

To be fair to Rechat, it does a lot in one place.

**People** is the CRM: contacts, leads, tasks, lead routing, tags and Google and Microsoft calendar sync. **Studio** handles marketing: branded emails, print pieces, social posts, ads and listing websites. **Deals** is transaction management, with checklists, DocuSign signatures and listings tied to the MLS. **Lucy**, the AI assistant, drafts replies and marketing and takes voice commands. There are iOS and Android apps.

Brokerages like that agents share one system and that marketing stays on brand. Rechat lists Moreland Properties, Carolina One and Nourmand & Associates among its customers. If your brokerage runs on it and supports you well, there's a real case for staying.

## Why agents look for Rechat alternatives

- **You can't buy it as an individual easily.** Rechat sells through demos and partners mainly with brokerages. Pricing isn't public.
- **You're leaving the brokerage that provides it.** Your access goes with the job. (See our guide on [what happens to your brokerage CRM when you leave](https://getdex.com/blog/brokerage-crm-what-happens-when-you-leave/).)
- **You want fewer features, not more.** If you only use the CRM, you're working around a design studio and a transaction system every day.
- **Your business is referrals, not leads.** Lead routing and drip campaigns matter less when most of your clients already know you.

## Rechat alternatives at a glance

## 1. Dex: for the relationship part only

Full disclosure: [Dex](https://getdex.com/) is our product, so weigh this one accordingly.

Dex is a personal CRM. It doesn't do transactions, marketing design or lead routing. It does one job: helping you keep up with the people you know. Contacts come in from your phone, Google or Outlook, [LinkedIn](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-linkedin) and a [CSV](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/import/csv) export from your old CRM. Email, calendar, [iMessage](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-imessage) (through the Mac app), WhatsApp and Instagram conversations update each contact's last interaction, so [keep-in-touch reminders](https://getdex.com/docs/workflows/keep-in-touch) tell you who's due without you logging anything.

**Pick it if** your business runs on past clients and sphere, and your brokerage handles transactions. **Skip it if** you need lead routing, drip campaigns or a business texting number.

Premium is $12 a month billed annually, or $20 monthly, with a 6-day trial (card required). More on how agents use Dex is on our [real estate page](https://getdex.com/realestate/).

## 2. Follow Up Boss: for lead-driven agents and teams

Follow Up Boss is the default CRM for agents who buy leads. It pulls in leads from portals and websites, routes them to the right agent and tracks speed to lead. Texting and calling run from the app.

**Pick it if** most of your business starts as an online lead. **Skip it if** you mostly work referrals and don't want to pay for lead machinery. Grow is $58 per user a month billed annually ($69 monthly), and calling is $33 to $39 more. Team plans start at $416 a month for 10 users billed annually. Our [Dex vs Follow Up Boss comparison](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-follow-up-boss/) goes deeper.

## 3. Wise Agent: the affordable all-in-one

Wise Agent bundles a CRM, lead rules, drip campaigns, landing pages and transaction management. It's the closest thing to Rechat's breadth at a solo-agent price.

**Pick it if** you want contacts and transactions in one tool without a brokerage contract. **Skip it if** you want a modern design studio or texting included. It's $49 a month or $499 a year, and texting is an add-on ($11 a month plus $80 registration). See our [Dex vs Wise Agent comparison](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-wise-agent/).

## 4. Cloze: for automatic logging

Cloze connects to your email, phone and calendar and attaches activity to the right contact without data entry. It has added real estate features over the last few years, like listing matching and anniversary tracking.

**Pick it if** you hate logging calls and want everything captured. **Skip it if** you're on a budget and need text sync: that starts on Business Gold at $29 per user a month billed annually. Pro is $17 a month. More in our [Dex vs Cloze comparison](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-cloze/).

## 5. Lofty: CRM plus website plus lead gen

Lofty (formerly Chime) combines a CRM, IDX websites, lead generation and an AI assistant. It competes most directly with Rechat for teams that want one platform.

**Pick it if** you want a website and ads managed alongside the CRM. **Skip it if** you want simple. Lofty doesn't publish prices, and third-party reports put core plans around $449 a month with setup fees. See [Dex vs Lofty](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-lofty/).

## 6. BoldTrail: another brokerage all-in-one

BoldTrail (from Inside Real Estate) is a CRM, website and marketing platform with a back office for brokerages. Many agents get it through their broker, the way they get Rechat.

**Pick it if** your brokerage offers it and you want to stay inside one system. **Skip it if** you're independent: prices are by quote, and third-party reviews report solo packages around $499 a month. Our [Dex vs BoldTrail comparison](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-boldtrail/) has the details.

## How to choose

Start with how your business comes in.

- **Mostly online leads:** Follow Up Boss, or Lofty if you also want the website and ads.
- **Want everything in one place, on a budget:** Wise Agent.
- **Brokerage already pays for an all-in-one:** use it for transactions and marketing, and decide whether its CRM fits how you actually work.
- **Mostly referrals and sphere:** a personal CRM like Dex, alongside whatever your brokerage uses for transactions.

Many agents end up with two tools: the brokerage system for deals and compliance, and a CRM they own for relationships.

## Who this isn't for

If you're a brokerage owner choosing a platform for 50 agents, this list isn't enough. Get demos from Rechat, Lofty and BoldTrail, ask for references from brokerages your size, and check how each one handles agents who leave.

## FAQ

### What is Rechat?

Rechat is a real estate platform that combines a CRM (People), marketing design (Studio), transaction management (Deals) and an AI assistant called Lucy. It's sold mainly to brokerages and teams.

### How much does Rechat cost?

Rechat doesn't publish prices. It sells through demos and partners mainly with brokerages, so you'll need a quote, or check whether your brokerage already provides it.

### What is the best Rechat alternative for a solo agent?

It depends on where your business comes from. Follow Up Boss fits lead-driven agents, Wise Agent fits agents who want an affordable all-in-one, and Dex fits agents whose business is referrals and sphere.

### Is there a Rechat alternative with transaction management?

Yes. Wise Agent includes transaction management, and BoldTrail offers a back office for brokerages. Follow Up Boss, Cloze and Dex don't manage transactions themselves.

### Can I move my contacts out of Rechat?

Ask your brokerage or Rechat support about exporting contacts to CSV. Most CRMs, including Dex, import from a CSV file. Export before you leave a brokerage, since access often ends when you do.

### Does Dex replace Rechat?

Only the relationship part. Dex keeps track of your contacts, conversations and follow-ups. It doesn't do marketing design, transactions or lead routing.

## The bottom line

Rechat is a big platform built for brokerages, and if yours provides it and supports it well, it can work. If you're on your own, or you only need part of what it does, pick the tool that matches how your business comes in: leads, all-in-one, or relationships.
