# Dex vs Wise Agent: Choosing a CRM for Real Estate Agents in 2026

_By Kevin Sun_

**Tags:** CRM, Product Reviews, Personal CRM

[Wise Agent](https://wiseagent.com/) has been around since 2002 and has a loyal following among solo agents and small teams, mostly because it does a lot for the money. For $49 a month you get contact management, drip campaigns, landing pages, lead rules and transaction management in one place.

[Dex](https://getdex.com/) is a different kind of tool. It's a personal CRM built around one question: how long has it been since you talked to this person? It doesn't manage transactions or send drip campaigns. It keeps your sphere from going quiet.

So this isn't really a head-to-head. It's a question of what you need your CRM to do. This guide covers what each is built for, where each one wins, what they cost, and how they handle a normal week. If Follow Up Boss is also on your list, see our [Dex vs Follow Up Boss comparison](https://getdex.com/blog/dex-vs-follow-up-boss/).

**A note before we start:** Dex is our product. We've tried to be fair to Wise Agent, and we say where it's the better buy. Prices and features were checked on October 13, 2026.

**Fast facts:**

- Wise Agent's CRM plan is $49 a month, or $499 a year (about $42 a month). Adding WiseSocial makes it $69 a month or $699 a year.
- Wise Agent's base plan covers up to five team members on a shared login. Extra logins are $20 a month each.
- Wise Agent includes transaction management, drip campaigns and landing pages. Dex has none of those.
- Wise Agent syncs contacts and calendar two ways with Google but has no direct Outlook sync. Dex syncs Google, Outlook, LinkedIn, and on the Mac desktop app, iMessage and phone calls.
- Dex Premium is $12 a month billed annually ($20 monthly). Wise Agent offers a 14-day trial; Dex offers 6 days with a card required.

## Dex and Wise Agent for real estate agents

### Wise Agent

Wise Agent is an all-in-one CRM for agents who want one system for the whole business. New inquiries come in through landing pages and integrations, lead rules sort and assign them, and drip campaigns follow up automatically. When a deal goes under contract, transaction management takes over with checklists and dates. There's a team calendar, reporting and 24/7 live support.

For sphere work, Wise Agent's main tool is the repeating email. You can schedule a templated email, including a "Home Sale Anniversary" template, with placeholders that fill in each client's details, and set it to repeat. Once it's set up, the anniversary email goes out without you touching it.

On sync, Wise Agent's help center describes a two-way contact and calendar sync with Google, and a "Google Conversations" feature that shows Gmail threads on a contact's page. Outlook users have to sync Outlook to Google first; Wise Agent's own article on it says the setup is "a little tricky." Texting is an add-on (WiseText, $11 a month plus an $80 registration).

### Dex

Dex is built around the person rather than the deal. It pulls contacts and conversations from [Gmail](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-google), [Outlook](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/outlook-sync), Google Calendar, [LinkedIn](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-linkedin), [WhatsApp](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-whatsapp), and on the Mac desktop app, [iMessage](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-imessage) and [phone calls](https://getdex.com/docs/integrationsandfeatures/syncfeatures/sync-phone-calls). Each person gets one timeline.

You put a [keep-in-touch frequency](https://getdex.com/docs/workflows/keep-in-touch) on the people who matter (past clients every 90 days, top referral partners every 30) and Dex tells you each day who's due. Because messages sync in, the clock resets when you actually talk, not when you remember to log it. Close dates get a [yearly reminder](https://getdex.com/docs/workflows/reminders), [LinkedIn job changes](https://getdex.com/product/linkedin/) get flagged, and a map view shows where your past clients live.

### Wise Agent is a better fit if

- You want one system for inquiries, marketing and transactions
- You run a small team that can share one account
- You want anniversary and holiday emails to go out automatically
- Transaction checklists matter more to you than conversation history
- You live in Gmail and Google Calendar

### Dex is a better fit if

- Most of your business comes from past clients and referrals
- You text clients from your iPhone and want those conversations on their record
- You use Outlook, LinkedIn or WhatsApp heavily
- You'd rather send anniversary messages yourself than automate them
- Your transactions already run through your brokerage's system

## Which offers more value?

| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Includes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Wise Agent CRM | $49/mo | $499/yr (about $42/mo) | Contacts, lead rules, drips, landing pages, transaction management, team calendar, up to 5 users on one login |
| Wise Agent CRM + WiseSocial | $69/mo | $699/yr (about $59/mo) | Everything above plus social posting and listing videos |
| Dex Premium | $20/mo | $12/mo | Sync, keep-in-touch reminders, LinkedIn (2,500), map view |
| Dex Professional | $34/mo | $20/mo | Premium plus Mail Merge, larger LinkedIn sync (9,000) |

Dollar for dollar, Wise Agent includes more features. If you'd otherwise pay separately for transaction management and an email marketing tool, it's hard to beat. Dex is cheaper and does one job: making sure nobody in your sphere goes a year without hearing from you.

A quick way to decide: list what you'd actually use in the first month. If transaction checklists and drips are on it, Wise Agent. If the list is "remember to call my past clients," Dex.

## How Dex and Wise Agent handle an agent's week

### Monday: a past client's home sale anniversary

In Wise Agent, the anniversary email you scheduled last year goes out on its own. It uses the template and fills in their name and address. You don't have to do anything, which is the point.

In Dex, a reminder shows up on your home screen and in the daily digest. You open the client's record, see your notes ("sewer scope scare, dog named Biscuit"), and send a text from your phone that mentions both. It takes two minutes instead of zero. The trade is effort for a message that sounds like you.

### Tuesday: a text conversation with a referral partner

You and your lender trade a dozen texts about a mutual client. In Wise Agent, those texts stay on your phone unless you're texting through WiseText. In Dex, on the Mac desktop app, the thread syncs to the lender's record, and the keep-in-touch clock resets.

### Saturday: an open house

Wise Agent's landing pages work as a digital sign-in sheet, so visitors go straight into your database with a source attached. Dex has no sign-in form; you'd scan cards with the [card scanner](https://getdex.com/docs/workflows/card-scanner) or import the sign-ins afterward.

### Any day: a deal goes under contract

Wise Agent's transaction management takes over with dates and checklists. Dex doesn't track transactions at all. Most Dex users run deals through their brokerage's transaction system and keep Dex for the relationship.

## Where Wise Agent is the better buy

Wise Agent wins outright in three situations. If you want transaction management and don't have it through your brokerage, Wise Agent includes it. If you're a small team that wants one shared system on a budget, five people on one login for $42 a month is good value. And if you want automated drips and landing pages for new inquiries, Dex doesn't do those.

Some agents use both: Wise Agent for transactions and marketing, Dex for the personal side of the sphere. That's more than either costs alone, so it only makes sense if you'll use both every week.

## Who this isn't for

If you need lead routing for a large team, look at team-focused platforms instead; neither tool is built for routing hundreds of portal inquiries across many agents. If your brokerage requires a specific CRM, use it for brokerage business. And if your sphere is under 50 people, a spreadsheet and your phone's calendar may be all you need for now.

## Choosing a CRM as a real estate agent

Wise Agent is a capable, affordable all-in-one CRM, and it's a better fit than Dex for agents who want transactions, drips and landing pages in one place. Dex is the better fit when your business runs on relationships and you want every text, email and call to count toward staying in touch.

If you're not sure which camp you're in, look at where your last ten closings came from. If most were past clients and referrals, start with [a 6-day Dex trial](https://getdex.com/pricing/). Here's [how solo agents use Dex for their sphere](https://getdex.com/realestate/).

## FAQ

### Is Wise Agent a good CRM for solo agents?

Yes, especially on value. The CRM plan is $49 a month or $499 a year and includes transaction management, drip campaigns and landing pages, which many CRMs charge extra for.

### How much does Wise Agent cost in 2026?

The CRM plan is $49 a month or $499 a year. CRM plus WiseSocial is $69 a month or $699 a year. Extra logins are $20 a month, and WiseText texting is $11 a month plus an $80 registration.

### Does Wise Agent sync with Outlook?

### Can I use Dex and Wise Agent together?

You can, with Wise Agent handling transactions and marketing and Dex handling personal keep-in-touch. There's no direct integration, so contacts would move between them by CSV.
